Huonokuntoinen karhu lopetettiin sunnuntaiaamuna poliisin määräyksellä Lieksan Tuomikoskella. Iältään 2-3-vuotiaan uroskarhun vasempaan etukäpälään oli lauennut näätäeläimien pyyntiin tarkoitetut raudat.

Pyyntiraudat ovat lailliset ja niillä voi pyytää muun muassa näätiä maaliskuun loppuun asti.
